Relaxation Time is just simply spending time with cat or dog. We request that volunteers simply sit with one animal at a time in a specific room such as the dog's kennel or shy cat camp, read them a book, play music, etc. and just allow the animal to relax in the company of a human. By doing this we are trying to replicate the "relaxation time" an animal receives from their humans while in a home. Relaxation time greatly improves the socilability and trust of a shy dog or cat.
Pictured below is Frannie, one of our dedicated volunteers. She spent time with Mac and Sage almost everyday to help build their trust. Eventually they became more comfortable being around people and are now serious lap dogs. Mac and Sage have been adopted and now enjoy tons of relaxation time with their new family.
