Nana
Nana
After months of treatment Nana, who was dragged behind her owner's truck, was healthy and ready for a new home. She waited, and waited, and waited. Although Nana ruled the shelter, often spending her days with our volunteer receptionists or in our administrative offices she longed for her forever home. In December Nana finally found her forever home. Previous Pet Network adopters saw Nana's story at a Reno event and immediately came to the shelter to adopt her. She is now spending her days lounging around the house and yard with her new proud owners.
Alfie
Alfie
While nothing was "wrong" with Alfie when he came to Pet Network, his sheer size and energy level made it difficult to find a home. His enthusiastic greetings tended to make adopters very uncomfortable. When the Tirdel family came in however, Alfie found kindred spirits for his happy personality. The Tirdel family fell instantly in love and are so thankful that Alfie is theirs. Alfie's happy face truly says more than any words ever could.
Gunther
Gunther came to Pet Network having been surrendered by his owners who were no longer able to care for him. Gunther was a bit overwhelmed at his new surroundings and endeared himself directly to the Executive Director. He became her full-time foster until Chris Beckstead, Pet Networks Board Chair, introduced her friends to him. Gunther instantly took to his new family and is now a proud member of the Porsche Club, and more importantly a member of Pet Network's Alumni Club!
Biscuit
Biscuit came to Pet Network from Nevada Humane Society. She was immediately taken home by Pet Network's E.D. to join her legion of "smooshy faced" kitties. After a year and half, Sheila long saw Biscuit's picture at an event and knew she found her next kitty. Biscuit immediately crawled onto Sheila's lap and the two are now inseperable.
Bogie and Maggie
It seems every employee and board member at Pet Network has had at least one pooch or pet tug at their heartstrings. Chris Beckstead & Rich Chew (Board Chair & IT Volunteer Extraordinaire) saw Bogie, a lab mix here with his siblings and couldn't resist. Bogie & maggie are now best buddies and keep both Chris and Rich hopping with puppy antics.
Cheyenne
Cheyenne came to Pet Network from mineral County, Nevada where animal control took her in as a stray. They were very surprised when she went into labor in their kennels. With limited space, their diligent and caring staff called every rescue they could to find Cheyenne a sanctuary while her babies grew. Pet Network answered the call. mom and babies are enjoying the quiet, caring and love at Pet Network, and growing every day. you can see their growth at www.facebook.com/Pet.Network See Cheyenne's pups on page 1.
