Volunteer Spotlight

The volunteers have had an astounding quarter! Their generosity has shown in every Pet Network accomplishment over the last few months. Please take a few moments to read through some of Pet Network’s fabulous volunteer contributions!
BriannaBrianna

McKenna Hoff (age 12) and Brianna Barraza (age 11) helped Pet Network win the “Most Authentic for the Period” award at this year’s Red, White, and Tahoe Blue Parade. McKenna and Brianna helped plan and create the float design for Pet Network’s “OK Canine Corral”. Their imaginations brought Pet Network into the spotlight!

We also had the biggest turnout ever for Pet Network dog walkers in the Red, White and Tahoe Blue Parade. We were able to take almost a dozen of our adoptable dogs out into the community for a special day of fun. Thank you to all those who participated!

Janine & TedJanine & TedJanine Henschel (recently engaged-congrats!) took the reins on jump starting the Trooper Fund. Not only did she donate her own money, but she took it upon herself to bake cookies and sell them at work. She raised almost $200 to help Trooper get his leg mended.

FrannyFranny

Franny Bryan took Janine’s lead and went crazy! Franny has been pounding the pavement for weeks and has raised over $800. She can be seen daily with Trooper bringing his plight to the attention of the town. Thanks to Franny’s dedication and motivation, we have raised enough funds to fix Trooper’s leg!

Two very special girls, Mariah (age 7) and Michaela (age 9), have won the hearts of everyone on staff. They came to Pet Network and asked if they could hold a lemonade stand to benefit Pet Network. They wanted to help raise money for the homeless pets and succeeded. They raised over $200 in 3 hours selling their homemade lemonade in front of Village Square Family! Thank you Kathie for letting the girls have their stand in front of your store.

Another exceptional kid, Ethan Everist, had his 8th birthday party here at Pet Network. In lieu of gifts, he asked all his friends to donate to Pet Network. His friends brought dozens of donations and toys for all the pets. Not only was Ethan’s 8th birthday a special day for himself, but he also made it a very special day for all the pets at Pet Network. Thank you Ethan!

Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers! You make a difference and save lives!
