Nevada Super Pet Adoption Day

Saturday, October 14, 2017 -
10:00am to 4:00pm

One day. Five animal shelters. Rescue groups. Vendors. Food trucks (and drinks). Pet adoptions! Lots and lots of pet adoptions! Free admission! October 14!

Here’s the deal

It’s time to find the love of your life. Picture a partner with big, brown eyes and a heart of gold—someone who agrees with everything you say and offers unconditional love. No, not humans, but instead dogs and cats!

Save the date for Nevada’s Super Pet Adoption Day and get ready to add to your family! Then, join us on Saturday, October 14, when hundreds of dogs and cats will be waiting for you at Rancho San Rafael Park in search of loving homes. It’s one big adoption event as Nevada Humane Society, SPCA of Northern Nevada, Pet Network Humane Society and Canine Rehabilitation Center & Sanctuary (CRCS) come together all #ThanksToMaddie!

What to Expect

Fun! Bring the whole family and spend some time meeting adoptable pets, listening to music, enjoying food and beverage trucks, shopping various pet vendors and more! Well-behaved dogs on a fixed leash are welcome but remember it will be crowded and kids and cats will be there too!

Adoption Process

Each participating group or shelter has its own adoption process and policies. Adoption fees will vary. If you rent, it’s a good idea to have a letter from your landlord stating you are allowed to have a pet. All dogs and cats will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and most of them, microchipped. For those not microchipped (not all rescues will have the animals chipped), FREE microchipping is being provided by Washoe County Regional Animal Services so you can get your new pet (or existing pet) chipped if they are not already!

Nevada’s Super Pet Adoption Day. It’s what’s up in animal welfare in Northern Nevada. You don’t want to miss it. Let’s save some lives! Let’s Do This!
